  • Puppet production continues with Torchy the Battery Boy
  • AP Films produces its own puppet series Four Feather Falls
  • Lord Lew Grade of Elstree funds Gerry Anderson’s first science fiction series ‘Supercar’.
  • Supercar premieres on British television
  • Fireball XL5 launches, captivating audiences across the globe.
  • Stingray, the first childrens TV show in the UK filmed entirely in colour goes on the air.
  • TV Century 21 comic launches. Conceived of as a newspaper for children it featured a ‘stop press’ front page with news items and photographs. It soon had a circulation of over 1 million copies per week.
  • Thunderbirds launches on 30th September quickly becoming one of the most popular British TV series ever produced.
  • Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons premieres in September
  • Joe 90 is first aired
  • UFO, Gerry Anderson’s first live action series, launches.
  • Space:1999 premieres across the globe, becoming a smash hit in the UK and USA.
  • Gerry Anderson makes a return to puppetry with Terrahawks, which would run for 3 series.
  • Thunderbirds is rebroadcast by the BBC in the UK leading to Thunderbirds fever!
  • Space Precinct launches on Sky One and BBC2.
  • Gerry Anderson’s CGI reimagining of Captain Scarlet captivates a whole new audience.
  • Gerry Anderson passes away due to Alzheimer’s Disease.
  • Anderson Entertainment launches a Kickstarter campaign to complete ‘Gemini Force One’, Gerry’s final work. Successfully funded, this led to a publishing deal with Orion for three novels.
  • The Gerry Anderson Store launches.
  • Anderson Entertainment and Big Finish begin producing a series of new full-cast audio dramas of Terrahawks.
  • Development begins on Gerry Anderson’s Firestorm, thanks to a highly successful Kickstarter campaign.
  • Anderson Entertainment signs a deal with Network Distributing to allow for physical and digital distribution of all of its library properties.
  • Anderson Entertainment launches the Gerry Anderson Podcast.
  • In October Anderson Entertainment premiered their pilot minisode for Firestorm filmed in ‘Ultramarionation’.
  • Development begins on a reboot of Terrahawks.
