BritSciFi3 Dedicated to Gerry AndersonThis is the third year for BritSciFi and this will be the biggest and best event ever hosted at the National Space Centre, in Leicester UK.

Malika Andress of the National Space Centre said: “With the sad news in January that our hero and friend, Gerry Anderson, passed away, this event will be dedicated to him and his amazing legacy.”

Thanks to many private collectors, prop builders and fans the event will feature Anderson Alley – an area dedicated to the genius of Gerry Anderson.

  • Blast off with your favourite Thunderbird craft
  • See Stingray, Fireball XL5 and FAB1
  • A full size recreation of the Moonbase Control Centre from Space 1999

They will be collecting for the Gerry Anderson Tribute Fund for the Alzheimer’s Society during the event which runs on the weekend of the 9th and 10th of March 2013.

Gerry’s son Jamie will be there for the entire event and will be hosting a panel discussion featuring a number of colleagues of Gerry’s on the Saturday.
