Jamie Anderson joins International Rescue Corps

International Rescue Corps are delighted to announce the appointment of Jamie Anderson as their Vice-President.
Jamie is the son of the late Thunderbirds creator, Gerry Anderson and said this of his appointment ‘I’m immensely proud to be carrying on the good work, and helping promote an organisation that stands for all the good things that were constant elements in Gerry Anderson shows, and look forward to doing what I can to help IRC in my new role.’
IRCs Corps Director, Willie McMartin said ‘The corps has been in existence since 1981 and we will forever be indebted to Gerry Anderson all those years ago. Gerry was instrumental in getting IRC off the ground and without this help we wouldn’t have been able to continue to saves lives. It is great news that Jamie is happy to support the corps and we look forward to working with him in the forthcoming years.’
International Rescue Corps are specialist Urban Search and Rescue team responding to natural and man made disasters all over the world using specialist skills and equipment. Ther mission is ‘United To Save Life’ and this ethos applies to every action of our volunteer specialists.
